EMILY'S STORY
Â
Dr. Emily Suarez
Sub-3 Marathoner | Boston Qualifier | Tejana Runner
Running isn’t just something I do—it’s who I am. Raised in the heart of Texas, I grew up watching Selena, eating homemade tortillas, and learning that strength isn’t just about power—it’s about resilience. That’s the energy I take with me every time I lace up my shoes.
I ran D1 track at Texas Christian University, but after college, I found my real passion: the marathon. Running long, running hard, pushing past limits most people don’t even know exist. My current PR is 2:53, and I’ve raced the Boston Marathon, but I’m nowhere near finished.
I run because I believe in being strong, capable, focused, and powerful—values I carry from my heritage, my training, and every mile I’ve ever fought through. Some days, running is smooth. Other days, it’s a grind. But we show up anyway. We fight anyway.
This is my journey. I share my training, my races, my struggles, and my victories—because running is never just about the finish line. It’s about who we become along the way.
